My original HVAC contractor decided to go AWOL on us after he found a leak when testing the outdoor AC unit. So we couldn't finish setting up our HVAC system. We needed to find a new HVAC contractor to complete the installation and have reached out to a few companies and referrals. Most bigger companies didn't want to resume work from someone else. He spent about another 8 hours also improving our furnace setup since he noticed a few more issues. After working on our entire HVAC system for 2 days, we were finally able to complete our HVAC installation! Adlan is such a lifesaver! I had a great experience with Adlan from AD Mechanical. My 12 year old Payne AC suddenly stopped cooling, the outdoor fan was running, but the compressor would not start. Another company had already tried a capacitor and hard-start kit and concluded the compressor was locked, but the replacement estimate was much higher. Adlan came out, did a careful diagnosis using professional tools, and clearly explained what he was checking. He confirmed the compressor failure, offered a very fair quote, and was able to replace it with a compatible and better than original (LG) Copeland compressor. He also replaced the capacitor because the old one did not match the new compressor spec, replaced the filter drier, cleaned/vacuumed the inside of the condenser, straightened some bent fins, and documented the process with lots of photos. After the repair, he tested the system properly. He measured the return air and vent temperatures inside the house, return was around 71 and the supply vents were around 46 to 51, and the system was cooling well again. He wore shoe covers inside, was respectful of the house, communicated clearly, and was super courteous throughout the whole job. It was a great pleasure working with him. No attitudes, no drama, just down to earth hard and professional work, that's it. What stood out most was that he stuck to the original quoted price even though he used a better but more expensive Copeland compressor and additionally replaced the capacitor, which exceeded original estimate scope. I even offered to increase the payment, but he politely refused. Overall, Adlan was very professional, honest, skilled, and very fair on pricing. Based on my experience I would absolutely recommend him for HVAC repair.

I have worked with Adlan on two separate occassions. The first issue was quite challenging. The problem was quite intermittent and it does happen under certain weather conditions. He step-by-step emulated the problem and finally corrected it. This particular furnace issue required an expert and a geat engineer, such as Adlan. He never charged for each visit. Once he finished the job, he took the time and explained me what he did for my own understanding. I also called him for another AC job. We were dealing with an unbalanced system where one bedroom was freezing and another was starved for airflow. Adlan came out, diagnosed our crawlspace ductwork using specialized meters, and perfectly rebalanced all 12 of our vents while replacing our complex whole-house air filter. Adlan did a great job repairing our busted Lennox AC (fan motor) and doing some much need maintenance work on our furnace. He patiently explain what had broken and how it needed to be fixed. We had an ongoing issue with failed condensate pumps on our Lennox mini-split system, and after a very frustrating experience with another company, AD Mechanical was a complete breath of fresh air. We are so grateful we found Adlan. Another HVAC technician had looked at the rust and water marks around our attic furnace and told us the furnace was failing and could eventually become a carbon monoxide risk. We were advised to replace the whole system with a heat pump, which could have cost us more than $15000. It was stressful because we had no idea whether the furnace was truly unsafe or whether we were being pushed toward a very expensive replacement. Adlan took the time to inspect everything carefully instead of immediately trying to sell us a new system. He found that the furnace itself, blower, ductwork, and drain lines were still in good condition. The water problem was caused by a loose pipe connection that had not been clamped properly, along with a partially clogged drain. He tightened the connection with the correct tools, cleared the drain, and adjusted the gas pressure back to the manufacturer’s recommended level. He explained everything in a calm and understandable way and showed us exactly what he found. After the repairs and maintenance, we felt much more confident about the condition of our system and avoided replacing equipment that did not actually need to be replaced. Adlan never made us feel pressured. It is rare to find someone who focuses on solving the actual problem instead of selling the most expensive option. TL;DR: Adlan went above and beyond. Highly recommended. I initially got in contact with Adlan when one of my wall-mounted Gree A/C + heating units started leaking water. He was able to determine that it had been installed improperly: the condensate drain hose ran uphill. He checked the other unit to be thorough, and sure enough, it suffered from the same installation mistake. To fix this, Adlan installed a condensate pump in each unit. He made sure to test them thoroughly; and while he was doing this, he noticed the condenser fan outside wasn't running. This led him to uncover and repair some faulty wiring on the control board. All in, Adlan spent more than 9 hours over two days diagnosing and repairing everything. He didn't try to sell me on unnecessary repairs or replacements. He made sure to explain everything so that I could follow along. And most importantly, he didn't leave until he had thoroughly tested everything--he made sure I would have functioning A/C and heating. I will absolutely come back to Adlan again should I need HVAC repairs or replacements in the future.

I had a great experience with AD Mechanical. I have a place in Redwood City and the mini-split in the ADU was leaking water. I couldn't use it without the wall getting soaked. Adlan, the company owner, answered my call right away and was able to come for an on-site diagnosis the same day. He checked the pressure of the coolant system and that was all fine. Turns out the plastic drain tube that came with my mini-split was cracked up inside the plastic housing. He had some much more robust rubber tubing, routed that through the existing small hole in the wall (that the previous hose had cracked off in) and rigged up an adapter to connect securely into the mini-split. I'm always curious how things work and Adlan was very personable and professional as I peppered him with tons of questions about all things HVAC. I also mentioned the furnace in my house was not performing well and he offered to run some tests on it for no charge. Turned out the "inches water column" pressure was set too high. Adlan adjusted in and the whole system was running better in less than 10 minutes! He didn't try to upsell me at all. I absolutely recommend AD Mechanical.
