A job in Foster City
Old furnace out in the morning. New Carrier in by evening.
Told by the phone's own photos from the job. The town and the time in the corner of each one are the camera's stamp, left as it took them.
The day, photo by photo
One alcove, morning to evening
Scroll through the job as the phone recorded it. The first photo is stamped in the morning; the last pair were taken a minute apart that evening.
-
MorningThe old furnace with its panels off and its blower out on the garage floor. -
EveningA new Carrier furnace in the same alcove, under a foil-wrapped plenum, its metal vent pipe rising through the top. -
A minute laterFrom further back: the floor cleared of the old parts and the new furnace sitting in its opening.
What the photos show, and what they leave out
In the morning photo the old furnace is already open, with its blower out on the floor. By evening a new Carrier stands in the same alcove, and the plenum above it, the box that feeds the ducts, is wrapped in foil-faced insulation.
We left the stamps on so you can see when each photo was taken. The photos can't tell you why the old furnace was replaced or what the job cost, and we won't guess at either here. Call us and we'll talk about yours.

Some of these rules are newer than this job. If your furnace is next, this is what applies now.

The Air District waits for burnout
The Bay Area Air District's zero-NOx rules for furnaces apply when the existing furnace burns out and is replaced. They don't make you pull out one that still works.
