A job in Redwood City
A heat pump down the side yard, an air handler in a packed garage.
The phone stamped these in Redwood City one evening and again the next morning: the outdoor unit beside new pavers, then the air handler in among the boxes.

One evening, then a closer look the next morning
The outdoor unit has its own pad along the side of the house. Indoors, the air handler stands next to the water heater with foil-wrapped duct rising behind it.

The morning afterA closer look: the air handler on its platform, white pipework running down to the floor.
A split system, both ends in the frame
This is a split system: the outdoor unit out in the side yard and the air handler in the garage, joined by the refrigerant lines between them.
The outdoor unit's label reads SMART MULTI, the outdoor line Mitsubishi Electric sells as heat pumps, which is why one system here does the heating and the cooling.
