Permit
How do I get an HVAC permit in Campbell?
Online. Campbell treats a residential HVAC or furnace replacement as a typical permit obtained online, with a limited number of inspections.
Its checklist adds reminders: if duct work is placed, a HERS test is required, and a gas unit installed in a garage must be elevated.
Going electric? The city says electrification projects need a permit too, and it has launched a streamlined permitting process for them.

Rebate
What does Silicon Valley Clean Energy ask before a heat pump?
The application, first. Campbell is one of SVCE's member communities, and the rebate is applied for before the appliance is installed; after an emergency replacement, contact SVCE and say so in the application.
Check the equipment too: single-stage heat pumps are not eligible.
